The RFM900-T Series refractometers are high precision instruments for use within petrochemical, pharmaceutical, flavours and fragrance industries. The ergonomically designed cases deal with any spills by the sloping shape of the case or by the PEEK spill barrier that surrounds the shallow, easy-clean stainless steel prism dish. The prism dish is shaped to hold sufficient sample for measurement whilst regaining a large enough surface area for rapid temperature stabilisation to occur. A Kalrez® gasket compliant with FDA / USP Class VI has been chosen as the prism seal due to its traceability and its almost impermeable nature to most chemicals. The sample cover forms a seal to prevent evaporation, particularly important when working with volatile solutions such as aromatic oils, and is interchangeable so that a presser type can be fitted for more viscous samples.

The RFM970-T Refractometer is particularly suited for operation within pharmaceutical environments, used to measure the purity of incoming raw materials as well as for production quality control in accordance with pharmacopeia (BP/EP/USP/JP).
RFM970-T refractometers may also be fitted with an optional flow through cell so that it may be used as part of a pharmaceutical pilot or full scale manufacturing process. This is because wetted materials traceability is made easy due to the FDA/USP Class VI components used as standard for areas where the sample is in contact with the instrument or flowcell. Materials Certificates for both refractometer and flowcell wetted materials are available.
Designed with simplicity in mind, RFM700-M Series refractometers with Brix, RI scales as standard offer digital automatic technology at a low cost.

• Alpha-numeric keypad for easy data entry
• Flat sapphire prism surface for easy-cleaning
• Simple operation for factory environments
• Selectable read type: Continual, single, intelligent auto-sense
RFM700-M Series refractometers are robust, low cost, fully automatic instruments that are ideally suited to the food, sugar and beverage industries but can also be used in many other non-food applications where temperature control is not required, for example measuring sugar (°Brix) concentrations in the food processing industry.
RFM330-T digital refractometer with 2-decimal place / 0-100 Brix (1.58 RI) touchscreen input and Peltier temperature control. Perfect for measurement and control in demanding food, beverage, chemical and industrial applications.
• High definition touchscreen display
• Flat prism surface for easy-cleaning
• Wide beam scan for non-homogenous samples
• Supports FDA regulation 21 CFR Part 11
RFID swipe technology comes as standard, providing clearance and a log of operator and configuration functions – especially useful when being used in FDA-regulated environments operating in accordance with 21 CFR Part 11, or where good practice is adopted, e.g. as part of HACCP.
The RFM732-M covers the full Brix range (0-100) to 1-decimal place accuracy so is perfect for measuring both low and high concentration solutions. This makes the RFM732-M a viable choice for use within the food and beverage manufacturing sector where sugar syrups for beverage start-up or confectionery products are required to be measured.
