This particular polarimeter tube has nylon end caps and a centre fill arm for easy sample application. These tubes are the most popular tube in our range as they offer both affordability and simplicity of use in regard of sample handling. Importantly, these tubes are able to accept the addition of a sample temperature probe without causing interference to the measurement light beam and so are recommended for use with ADP400 and ADP600 Series polarimeters.

These special XPC tubes are specifically designed for use with our ADP450 digital polarimeter incorporating XPC Technology. XPC technology provides rapid Peltier temperature control of the sample without the need for a cumbersome and costly water bath. Being manufactured of stainless steel, the temperature response of the whole system is far superior than that when using a glass tube - XPC Technology.

This particular polarimeter tube has a centre fill arm for easy sample application and has stainless steel end caps that are resistant to most chemicals. It is also possible to replace the seal between the glass tube and end cap using a special tool.

These special low volume, stainless steel polarimeter tubes have a reduced diameter and come in short lengths to facilitate the measurement of precious, rare or volatile samples. Sample entry and exit is via one of two luer taper nozzles at either end of the tube. Sample may be syringed into or pumped through the tube as part of an automated sampling system.

Glass, PEEK, HCl
Glass Polarimeter tube with PEEK endcaps for use with highly acid samples such as Hydrochloric acid use within the pharmaceutical industry as a solvent.
This tube is based on our popular metal end standard tubes but has the extra ability to withstand some of the most corrosive samples required to be measured in a polarimeter. The tubes are available in 100mm or 200mm tube lengths and are supplied with a pack of rubber bungs to prevent corrosive vapours escaping the tube whilst the sample is being measured.
The tube ends are sealed with a rubber gland that are easily replaceable using a special tool.
spare end caps, seals as well as UV pass windows are altos available as is an XPC adaptor for use in polarimeters boasting XPC Technology such as the ADP450 or ADP600-XPC Series polarimeters.
Glass, Bulb
Precision ground glass polarimeter tube with plastic ends and bulb to clear bubbles. Ideal for entry level use in food applications as well as academia due to their low price point. These tubes are available in 100mm or 200mm tube lengths.
Spare end caps, washers and windows are also available.
Quartz Control Plate
Bellingham + Stanley offer a choice of Quartz Control Plates (QCP) for verifying and calibrating polarimeters. QCPs are made to the highest standard and may be supplied with optional Certificates of Calibration showing traceability to PTB. (UKAS Certificate calibrated in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 @ specified wavelength between 546-900nm; Manufacturers certificate at specified wavelengths between 300-545nm)
When used with an ADP polarimeter manufactured by Bellingham + Stanley, a thermal block may be used to provide mechanical contact to the instrument’s external temperature sensor, allowing the use of quartz temperature compensation for added accuracy.
For added performance, an XPC Adaptor is also available for use with Peltier temperature controlled Bellingham + Stanley polarimeters that incorporate XPC Technology.
As part of Good Laboratory Practice, it is recommended that Quartz Control Plates are sent to our UKAS laboratory at regular intervals determined by the user’s own Standard Operating Procedure for inspection and recertification.
