DrySyn Reactors

DrySyn Spiral Evaporator

Asynt, in conjunction with BioChromato (Japan), have developed the NEW DrySyn Spiral Evaporator which enables scientists to evaporate tubes directly in DrySyn reaction vial blocks up to 4 samples at a time.
Utilising the proven safety benefits of DrySyn to combine with the patented spiral plug evaporation technology from BioChromato originally used in the Smart Evaporator, the DrySyn Spiral Evaporator offers fast and effective parallel evaporation in tubes without solvent bumping. Use the system to rapidly concentrate even high boiling solvents such as DMSO, DMF and water in tubes, without heating to high temperatures.

DrySyn Spiral Evaporator Plugs

The DrySyn Spiral Evaporator utilises the patented spiral plug evaporation technology from BioChromato originally used in the Smart Evaporator.
With fast and effective parallel evaporation in tubes without solvent bumping, the system can be used to rapidly concentrate even high boiling solvents such as DMSO, DMF and water in tubes, without heating to high temperatures.
Choose from 4 different sized plugs to suit your preferred vials.

DrySyn Reaction Vial Inserts

DrySyn Reaction Vial inserts can be used for up to 27 parallel heated or cooled reaction. Available in a wide range of sizes from stock, we can also custom make these to suit your specific needs. All DrySyn is engineered and manufactured in the UK.
The inserts are made with a variety of positions depending on size, and offer great versatility.
With several new additions to the range available as standard including 11.80 mm inserts for 2 mL HPLC sample vials, 27.40 mm inserts which will fit 20 mL Scintillation vials, and tapered 17.40 mm inserts which will fit Biotage tapered 0.5-2 mL microwave vials. See the “Specification” tab for the full list of stock sizes.

DrySyn UNO Base

Perfect for safe heating and clamping of just one flask, or for heating one DrySyn Reaction Vial insert, the DrySyn UNO Base has a flat bottom with removable/re-position able feet making it suitable for use on any standard magnetic hotplate stirrer.
The DrySyn UNO Base, just like our MULTI position bases, comes complete with a heat resistant handle making it even more perfect for academia.
The robust solid anodised aluminium construction of the DrySyn range offers excellent performance without the need for messy and potentially hazardous oil baths.

DrySyn OCTO Reaction Station

Part of the DrySyn Reactors range from the Asynt chemists, the DrySyn OCTO 8 Position Reaction Station allows powerful magnetic stirring and heating, inert atmosphere and reflux, all with a tiny footprint.
This innovative design has been found incredibly useful for working volumes of up to 6ml and has been specified to allow the use of low-cost reaction tubes to save as much as possible on consumables for your lab.
Whilst brilliant for 8 parallel reactions, you can use up to 3 DrySyn OCTO Reaction Stations on just one standard magnetic hotplate stirrer therefore allowing up to 24 parallel reactions.
The MKII DrySyn OCTO has now been launched with some aesthetically pleasing updates at no additional cost to our customers! Take a look at our “videos” tab here for more information.

DrySyn OCTO-PLUS Reaction Station

Part of the DrySyn reactors range from the Asynt chemists, the DrySyn OCTO-PLUS 3 x 8 Position Reaction Station allows powerful magnetic stirring and heating, inert atmosphere and reflux, all with a tiny footprint.
This innovative design has been found incredibly useful for working volumes of up to 6ml and has been specified to allow the use of low-cost reaction tubes to save as much as possible on consumables for your lab.
Use the DrySyn OCTO-PLUS for up to 24 parallel reactions on just one standard magnetic hotplate stirrer.

DrySyn OCTO Mini

Now available as an alternative to the hugely popular DrySyn OCTO, the DrySyn OCTO Mini allows safe and easy sampling with disposable needles.
You can buy a conversion kit if you already own the DrySyn OCTO or wish to switch back and forth between the two handy options however this version comes set up for when sampling is preferred to reflux applications.

DrySyn OCTO Mini Conversion Kit

Now available as an accessory to the hugely popular DrySyn OCTO, the DrySyn OCTO Mini Conversion Kit allows safe and easy sampling with disposable needles.
This conversion kit is quick and easy to swap over from the standard DrySyn OCTO support and offers a simple solution for when sampling is preferred to reflux applications.

The DrySyn SnowStorm Reactor

The DrySyn Snowstorm reactor offers an attractive solution to low temperature reaction chemistry.
Purging the dome with nitrogen / argon prevents the formation of ice around the reactors at sub-ambient temperatures.
Active temperature control from +150°C to -30°C permits unattended operation of up to 27 vials at any one time. With a small bench top footprint, the DrySyn Snowstorm allows increased throughput and screening without taking up valuable fume hood space.
Our gallery images show the DrySyn SnowStorm reactor with both Grant and Julabo chillers.

DrySyn Chilli Block System

The DrySyn Chilli Block System is modular in design and suitable for both heating and cooling. The Chilli Block base easily attaches to most laboratory heating cooling circulators and its low profile allows the fitment onto robotic platforms but, if preferred, it can also be used as a stand-alone system.
DrySyn Chilli Block has interchangeable blocks for tubes, vials and plates but bespoke sizes are also available. The tube plate also gives you effective cap holding for Eppendorf tubes.
The Chilli Block tube blocks are manufactured in Britain from chemically resistant, anodised Aluminium. They are not just designed to be used on the active heating/cooling plate but can be used as a stand-alone platform with an ice bath or even simply pre-cool them for use directly on the lab bench.
The Chilli Block cooling base uses state of the art insulation to ensure optimum performance, temperature homegeneity and to reduce ice formation.
