DrySyn Low Temperature Range

FroSyn Cooling Station

We are pleased to share the NEW FroSyn; an innovative fluid-free cooling plate that enables rapid cooling of samples in vials or round bottom flasks to below -60°C.
Designed in conjunction with temperature control specialists, Julabo GmbH, as a sustainable alternative to traditional ice and dry-ice baths within the laboratory; FroSyn enables rapid cooling of samples, is simple to use and is compatible with a wide range of glassware.
The FroSyn can be used with either a set of standard insets for round bottom flasks from 50 mL to 500 mL, or with custom manufactured reaction vial holding plates. The use of either weights and seals for the flask inserts or an inerting dome with the vial plates prevents the formation of ice on the glassware. Other custom cooling accessories are also available to compliment different applications, for example a 4-position holding module for battery research and development.

DrySyn SnowStorm ONE

DrySyn SnowStorm ONE offers controlled cooling for single round bottom flasks without having to resorting to jacketed reaction vessels.
This cost effective solution allows the chemist to use standard round bottom flasks from 50 mL to 1000 mL capacity.
As an integrated concept DrySyn SnowStorm ONE allows active temperature control of your chemistry from 160°C to -30°C.
Can be used on top of a hotplate stirrer for magnetic stirring or with an overhead stirrer when more viscous samples are being mixed.
The units require connection to a circulating thermostat, ultimate performance will depend upon the cooling power and temperature range of the chosen device. Can be used with all popular circulator systems such as Julabo, Huber, Grant and Lauda.
Optional insulation helps to improve performance and keep the apparatus ice free when sub zero.

The DrySyn SnowStorm Reactor

The DrySyn Snowstorm reactor offers an attractive solution to low temperature reaction chemistry.
Purging the dome with nitrogen / argon prevents the formation of ice around the reactors at sub-ambient temperatures.
Active temperature control from +150 oC to -30 oC permits unattended operation of up to 27 vials at any one time.
With a small bench top footprint, the DrySyn Snowstorm allows increased throughput and screening without taking up valuable fume hood space.
Our gallery images show the DrySyn SnowStorm reactor with both Grant and Julabo chillers.

DrySyn SnowStorm MULTI

The DrySyn SnowStorm MULTI offers active temperature control of your chemistry from ambient to -30°C.
The unattended operation of up to 3 x 100 mL reaction flasks combined with the small benchtop footprint allows you to increase throughput without taking up valuable fume hood space.
We have comprehensive kits you can purchase but you can of course choose to purchase these elements individually. See our “Specifications” tab for more details.

DrySyn SnowStorm MULTI Starter Kit

The DrySyn SnowStorm MULTI Starter Kit is a handy kit for unattended operation of up to 3 reaction flasks in parallel with active temperature control of your chemistry from ambient to -30°C via connection to your chosen refrigerated/heating circulator. This kit is also suitable for heated reactions, providing additional flexibility.
The parallel reaction opportunity combined with the small benchtop footprint allows you to increase throughput without taking up valuable fume hood space which is always at a premium.
This new DrySyn SnowStorm MULTI Starter Kit comes with cooling blocks to suit 25 mL, 50 mL and 100 mL round bottom flasks, with one of each size insert supplied in addition to the DrySyn SnowStorm MULTI base.
If you require further inserts then perhaps consider one of our other useful kits or select individual inserts. You may also choose additional M16 fittings.

DrySyn Chilli Block System

The DrySyn Chilli Block System is modular in design and suitable for both heating and cooling. The Chilli Block base easily attaches to most laboratory heating cooling circulators and its low profile allows the fitment onto robotic platforms but, if preferred, it can also be used as a stand-alone system.
DrySyn Chilli Block has interchangeable blocks for tubes, vials and plates but bespoke sizes are also available. The tube plate also gives you effective cap holding for Eppendorf tubes.
The Chilli Block tube blocks are manufactured in Britain from chemically resistant, anodised Aluminium. They are not just designed to be used on the active heating/cooling plate but can be used as a stand-alone platform with an ice bath or even simply pre-cool them for use directly on the lab bench.
The Chilli Block cooling base uses state of the art insulation to ensure optimum performance, temperature homegeneity and to reduce ice formation.
