Asynt Hotplate Stirrer Package

With a hotplate stirrer, electronic contact thermometer, holding rod, support rod, boss head clamp and protective silicone cover you’re all set to start stirring and heating at controlled temperatures. Perfect for use with our DrySyn heating blocks and pressure reactors.
This kit has a number of built in safety features which are important to note:
• Two independent control circuits within the hotplates.
• Our complete kit comes with the additional safety and accurate control of a digital electronic contact thermometer thus giving you a total of three independent safety circuits.
• Precise temperature control and stability to 0.5 °C.
• An adjustable safety limit circuit within the hotplate stirrer ensures that a maximum set value can not be exceeded, especially suitable for teaching laboratories. As this limit circuit is a totally independent temperature controller it offers extra safety over many other hotplate stirrers in case of circuit malfunction.
• Digital display: Enables comparison of set and actual temperatures as well as stirring speed. Monitoring of set values is also possible from a distance due to the excellent readability of the display.
• High power bar magnet drive, ideal for viscous samples and parallel synthesis applications.
• CE Certified, manufactured for Asynt in Germany
For safety purposes, allow 100 mm clearance on all sides of your hotplate when in use.


Cast Alloy Bosshead

This bosshead is made from cast allow with blue plastic headed nickel plated steel screws.
For use with rods up to 16 mm diameter.


DrySyn MULTI Range 3-position Clamp

The DrySyn MULTI 3 position clamp allows safe clamping of three round bottom flasks in parallel.
With three sizes available to suit the MULTI-E, MULTI-M and MULTI-S parallel DrySyn systems, the MULTI clamps are also perfect to use with the Asynt CondenSyn range of waterless air condensers.


Retort Clamp

A single position retort clamp made from diecast alloy and fitted with an aluminium shaft.


Compact Lab Safety Shield

Asynt’s Compact Lab Safety Shield fits neatly around any stirrer hotplate to provide robust, convenient protection from splashes, aerosols and spills.
Ideal for use where fume hood space is at a premium, the Safety Shield offers additional protection for chemists from splashes, and also reduces issue with fume hood drafts.
In addition to giving essential protection in applications such as heated parallel reactions in tubes, especially those operating under pressure, the device also shields reactions from the cooling effect of ventilation.
Manufactured in the UK, this compact safety shield fit Asynt, IKA and Heidolph stirrer hotplates.


Compact UV Protective Safety Shield

The Compact UV Protective Safety Shield is manufactured from Perspex Amber 300 acrylic and fits neatly around any stirrer hotplate. This compact shield is designed to offer some protection when doing photochemistry, and to provide robust, convenient protection from splashes, aerosols and spills.
In addition to giving protection in applications such as heated parallel reactions in tubes, especially those operating under pressure, the Compact UV Protective Safety Shield also shelters reactions from the cooling effect of ventilation, ensuring temperature uniformity.


Compact Lab Safety Shield – large

Asynt’s Compact Lab Safety Shields fit neatly around any stirrer hotplate to provide robust, convenient protection from splashes, aerosols and spills.
Ideal for use where fume hood space is at a premium, the Safety Shield offers additional protection for chemists from splashes, and also reduces issue with fume hood drafts.
Slightly larger than our standard shield, this offers increased protection which is essential in applications such as heated parallel reactions in tubes, especially those operating under pressure. The device also shields reactions from the cooling effect of ventilation.


DrySyn Reflux Manifold

The DrySyn reflux manifold from Asynt maximises your fume cupboard coolant use by converting a single chiller into three condensing streams and into one drain, avoiding daisy chaining multiple condensers, keeping everything very tidy.
The quick release connectors enable rapid reaction set up/dismantling and form a seal on both sides when removing condenser tubing, diverting the coolant flow to the other connected condensers thus avoiding leaks.
The unit is designed to be clamped to fume hood scaffolding and will keep condenser tubing out of the way when not in use. It can be rotated through 90 degrees to allow vertical or horizontal alignment.


Lab Jacks

Essential to any lab, the Asynt range of lab jacks are manufactured to close tolerances from aluminium with stainless steel operating screw. The top and bottom plates are specially designed aluminium extrusion giving exceptional rigid and robust support without excessive weight.
The plates are blue anodised finish. Our lab jacks are designed to be completely stable and free from rocking movements so you can depend upon them in your laboratory. They’re manufactured in Britain, to the highest possible standard, just as you would expect.


The 2mag Satellite Stirrer Bars

New developed, high-effective stirring bar, coated with ZEDEX, especially for high volumes, viscous media and strong magnetic stirrers.
Extremely strong, abrasion-free and wear-free magnetic stirring bar, bearing on a tripod-construction, especially for the use in stainless steel vessels and in the case of media containing abrasive particles, e.g. sand or sediments.


Safety Heat Sticker

We are keen for all laboratories to work in the safest way possible. Small changes to our practices can have a large impact.
The DrySyn range of heating and cooling blocks will rapidly heat and takes some time to cool after you have finished working with it so in addition to our heat resistant handles, we offer a Safety Heat Sticker.
The sticker changes its colour from black (it is this colour when the heating block is at room temperature) to a bright red (when the DrySyn block reaches a temperature over 50 degrees C). By sticking this to the front of your heating block you can easily see when it becomes safe to touch. Although we are instinctively drawn to the handles, it is a good safety measure to take.
The labels are suited to reaction temperatures up to 150°C.


Wheaton V-Vials

Compatible with the DrySyn MULTI reaction vial blocks, the Wheaton V-Vials are a popular range of vials with common sizes of 2,5 and 10ml available.
Conical interior bottoms are designed to provide total downward drainage and maximum retrieval of contents by syringe.


DrySyn Base Adapter Pins for Flat Bases

This set of 4 DrySyn base adapter pins are designed as an addition for our bases so that you can securely locate them on to the square-top Stuart Magnetic Stirrer Hotplates.
By removing the slightly larger pins (legs) supplied with all DrySyn bases you can place them directly upon the surface of your magnetic stirrer hotplate making them suitable for all the major recognised manufacturers apparatus, however by adding these alternative pins you can slot the base directly and securely on via the “sockets” within the surface of the square-top Stuart magnetic hotplate stirrer using the additional points within all DrySyn bases.
Supplied as a pack of 4 pins.


Magnetic stirrer bars & spin vanes

Choosing the correct magnetic stirrer bars or spin vanes for your vessel is key to achieving optimum agitation. We offer a wide range of stirrer bars (also known as magnetic fleas) and magnetic spin vanes with options to suit all sizes and shapes of vessel.
Our PTFE coated oval magnetic stirrer bars are perfect to use with the DrySyn MULTI heating block system for round bottomed or pear shaped flasks and the most commonly selected sizes are available in packs of 3. You will find our handy guide to which size is best suited to your chosen flask on the “downloads” tab (PDF format). We can of course supply greater quantities if desired, and many other sizes and shapes, so just ask! The PTFE coating means that your stirrer bar is unlikely to react to the chemicals you’re working with – particularly high temperature work may require an alternative such as a glass coated stirrer bar however.
We also offer our most frequently selected magnetic spin vanes in packs of 6. These are ideal for use with tubes and vials using the DrySyn Reaction Vial Inserts in your preferred size.
There are many other shapes of magnetic stirrer bar that you may wish to consider and each can have a different effect on your stirring;
• You could use cylindrical stirrer bars – great for small volumes in tubes and vials.
• Pivot ring stirrer bars – can enable smoother stirring whilst helping to reduce friction
• Cross shape stirrer bars – great for stable stirring
• Octagon shape stirrer bars – with a greater surface area these add further agitation because of their faceted profile.
