The Serstech 100 Indicator makes identifying any chemical substance extremely easy. This small, yet robust handheld analyser can be used to detect narcotics, explosives, hazardous chemicals, chemical warfare agents and pharmaceutical actives as well. This analyser takes seconds to identify any solid, liquid or powder chemical using Raman technology. The sample does not need to be removed from its container, making it much safer and easier to analyse, also saving the sample from being destroyed when needed for evidence. It is manufactured by a Swedish company based in Lund.

COST EFFECTIVE
It is extremely cost effective, as you can use one instrument for all the applications if needed. There are no extra consumables, no maintenance necessary, and it comes with a tip that uses Polystyrene to calibrate the device in the field. There are pre-set methods installed but you can also add your own methods onto the analyser in order to build up your library and customise it accordingly. It has a rechargeable battery that lasts up to 8 hours.

21 CFR PART 11 COMPLIANT
The Chemdash software is included with the spectrometer and is extremely user friendly, and for the Pharmaceutical applications, you can now get 21 CFR Part 11 compliant software. This is a worldwide standard for software to make sure that it is tamper proof and that no results can be deleted without a full documentation trail. Each user will get their own password, and there will be 3 different levels of access for the users.

HEROIN ID KIT
Serstech have also just launched a Heroin ID Kit which is based on patent pending technology used together with disposable SERS surfaces. The kit enhances the capability of the Serstech 100 indicator as it amplifies the signal of trace materials while reducing fluorescence. The Heroin ID kit allows for detection of heroin from crude “street quality” samples. The disposable surfaces are available in packs of 20 or 100 pcs together with sample preparation bottles pre-filled with solvent.
